Review: Penerapan Nanoteknologi Untuk Produksi Biodesel
Abstract
In the current era, the application of nanotechnology and nano materials has attracted attention in various fields of study due to their appealing qualities. Global research emphasizes the use of nanotechnology and nano materials in the process and production of biodiesel. Efforts to accelerate the progress and development of biodiesel production have focused on the application of advanced nanotechnology for maximum results with efficient costs. This article will discuss the use of various nano materials/nano-catalysts for biodiesel synthesis from various raw material variations and will also emphasize the application of nano materials in algae cultivation and lipid extraction as an integral part of biodiesel production. Furthermore, this review will thoroughly examine the potential human safety and environmental impacts that may arise from large-scale biodiesel production based on nanotechnology. Therefore, it is expected that this paper will provide in-depth insights for future producers, researchers, and academics, highlighting the extent to which research in biodiesel production assisted by nanotechnology and nano materials can enhance efficiency, while considering the inherent safety and environmental impact aspects.
