Abstract

Resource estimation is an important part of the mining industry which collectively produces mineral deposit models. The most optimal estimation method and often used is the ordinary kriging method. The estimation of nickel laterite deposit resources in this study is based on data from drilling activities which are then analyzed using the geostatistical ordinary kriging method. The methodology of this research is collecting and validating data, geostatistical analysis, and resource estimation. This study aims to provide an overview of the estimated quantity and quality of laterite nickel deposits, which in turn can be used as a basis for determining the appropriate mining plan.
