Design of a Dynamic Braking System for a 3-Phase Induction Motor with the Direct Current Injection Method
Abstract
At the time of motor braking, the stopping of the induction motor rotation is affected by the load served, rotation speed and motor power which results in the rotation of the motor not stopping immediately. Dynamic braking that will be designed is direct current injection method. From testing using simulations, it is known that the dynamic braking method of direct current injection at 22 Volt DC and 110 Volt DC produces faster driving time if the load is 3.5 Nm and the greater the direct current injection voltage causes the braking torque to be smaller, from 58.22 Nm. to 57.11 Nm.
